No. 15 Arizona Cardinals (8-8)
The Pick: Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
Maybe former Cardinals head coach bruce Arians retired because he knew he would have a chance to get baker Mayfield in this draft after missing on getting Patrick Mahomes the year before – kidding.
What we’re not kidding about is the fact that the Cardinals now need a quarterback badly with both Arians and quarterback Carson Palmer retiring. If picked in this situation, Rudolph may be thrown into the fire before he’s ready. But, at least we know he has the size at 6-foot-5 and the arm strength to push the ball vertically in a rookie campaign.
Quarterback is the top need in the first round for the Cardinals.
