No. 31 New England Patriots (13-3)
The Pick: Holton Hill, CB, Texas
The Patriots always seem to go a little niche in their picks, so that’s what they are doing here.
Hill isn’t often listed as one of the top cornerbacks in this class, but in 2017, he really flashed at times with his big, long 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame. Hill was a three-year defensive back who played in 26 career games and made 20 starts before declaring for the NFL Draft. He became just the third player in school history to return an interception for a TD in back-to-back games, and is currently ranks second all-time in school history for career interceptions returned for a TD (3) and career non-offensive touchdowns (4).
After being suspended for the remainder of the year in 2017 for a violation of team rules, Hill is a bit of a risky, but one the Patriots could take.
