No. 8 Chicago Bears (5-11)
The Pick: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State
The Chicago Bears not only have their quarterback of the future in Mitchell Trubisky, selected No. 3 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, but now they have their offensive mind of the future after signing Matt Nagy to be their head coach after he was the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator.
Now those two need some help. The Bears wide receiver depth chart was as barren as they come after some of the unlucky injuries they had. But, even with full health, they still need a WR1. I think Tate can be that. At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Tate has the frame to dominate all sorts of defensive backs. The Bears have speed to stretch the field. Tate will give them a go-to guy beyond that.
