With three different types of beer available in the Tampa Bay area – and soon across Florida – Pirate Republic is sure to be treasured by all the pirates that visit PewterReport.com, follow Pewter Report on social media and watch the Pewter Report Podcast.

Based out of Nassau, Bahamas, Pirate Republic Brewing Company opened its doors in 2015 and is the only craft brewery in the Bahamas. Now the brand is invading Florida. Partnering with Pewter Report is a natural fit – just in time for football season.

That was a must. There have been several local breweries in the Tampa Bay that have discussed partnering with us that didn’t meet that criteria. I love all three kinds of their beer. Holowesko, a native Bahamian, has been brewing beer since the 1990s. His family roots trace back to the actual Pirate Republic Era in the Bahamas in the 1700s.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with PewterReport.com and their great crew,” Holowesko said. “Pirate Republic Brewing is all about bringing like-minded people together to celebrate life. Pirate Republic’s Long John Pilsner – 4.5% ABV 20 IBU

PR’s lightest beer, crisp and refreshing, relies on Czech Saaz hops for its spicy aroma, while toasted Munich malt brings depth. Perfect for tailgating in the Florida sun or at the beach.

Pirate Republic’s Take No Quarter IPA – 7.2% ABV 73 IBU

The flagship IPA – Vienna and caramel malts provide a rich backbone as Amarillo, Centennial, and Cascade hops come to the forefront. Citrus, pine, and grapefruit flavors to taste. Dry hopped with Pacific Jade to add notes of blackberry and pepper for aroma.

Pirate Republic’s Gold & Haze Of Piracy Belgin Wit – 4.6% ABV 18 IBU

Malted barley and wheat together with Belgian yeast create a golden haze, while coriander and orange peels in the boil accentuate a lively, sweet flavor. Drop an orange slice in and enjoy.
