Pewter Power Rankings is a weekly feature compiled by PewterReport.com’s Fantasy Football Analyst Andrew Scavelli. Each week Scavelli will rank the league’s teams from best to worst based on their performance and outlook going forward at that point of the season, with a focus on the Buccaneers.

CURRENT BUCCANEERS RANKING: 25 (-2)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
For two weeks in a row the Bucs saw opportunities to beat top 10 teams slip right through their hands, both literally and figuratively as the rainy conditions of Baltimore plagued the team’s wide receivers on Sunday. Tampa Bay made it into December with the chance to play meaningful football down the stretch because of a very weak NFC conference this year but with two weeks left in the season those playoff hopes no longer exist. The Bucs have shown a persistent effort down the stretch in the face of adversity, so it will be interesting to see the way this team responds with their postseason dreams now out of the picture. It’s unlikely the team will win on the road against Dallas but I’m expecting them to close out the 2018 campaign with one final win at home over Atlanta. A potential 6-10 finish likely won’t be enough to keep many jobs in Tampa Bay or keep them from finishing with a bottom 10 placement in the Pewter Power Rankings, but will that record will most likely give the team a top 10 draft pick in what should be a very eventful offseason.
