Latest Bucs Headlines

While others outside of the facility might be doubting the Bucs this season, internally, Tampa Bay’s players harbor strong feelings that they’ll be successful yet again. Add running back Rachaad White to the list of players who have voiced their confidence over having a winning season this year.

Recently White’s teammate, left tackle Tristan Wirfs, gave a record prediction of 12-5 while appearing recently on the Vikes Verified podcast. In fairness to Wirfs, it was the last question of an hour-long show right as they were signing off, so Wirfs didn’t have much time to think it over and came up with the double-digit number.

Yet he hasn’t backed off that prediction, either.

Rachaad White Has A Good Feeling About The Bucs

Rachaad White joined Fox 13 Tampa Bay anchor Kevin O’Donnell for a segment where predicting a record for Tampa Bay was also brought up. White had a little more time to process the question, and like the great teammate he is, White decided to ride with Wirfs on the same number of 12 wins for Tampa Bay in the 2023 season.

“I saw Tristan said he believes we can go 12-5, I do believe that.” White said. “I’m going to ride with Tristan. I believe we win 12 games.”

The reason for feeling so good about this year’s team? It’s all about the vibes that everyone is bringing each day.

“I’m big on energy,” White said. “That’s the type of guy I am.”

White also said that all you can do is laugh when you hear about how far everyone thinks the Bucs will fall.

Rachaad White Isn’t The Only Bucs Player Feeling Disrespected

The oddsmakers have the over/under win total at 6.5 for the Bucs this season. Obviously, a big reason for that is that they have a new quarterback and new offensive coordinator with his own system this year. But that’s still a huge drop-off for a team that’s made the playoffs over the last three years.

Many Bucs have put it on blast that they are better than what everyone believes they are. Tristan Wirfs and Rachaad White did so with their record predictions. Cornerback Carlton Davis III took it another direction when he told Tyler Dunne of GoLongTD.com by telling everyone that the Bucs are going to “wreck s**t” this season.

Tampa Bay has too many great players on offense and defense to plummet that far, especially when the whole NFC South division could struggle this year. The Bucs also have the luxury of playing two of the weaker divisions on the schedule this year with the AFC South and the NFC North. Put that all together, and taking the over of 6.5 wins is much more encouraging.

Bucs’ Over/Unders In 2023
