The Bucs are strapped salary cap wise after adding running back LeSean McCoy recently, but they are still on the lookout for depth pieces, and may have found a couple to choose from for their defensive line.
According to The Athletic’s Greg Auman, Tampa Bay had brought in two defensive lineman over the last week and could add one before Monday. Last week the team brought former Cardinals defensive tackle Xavier Williams in for a visit and according to Auman they have also met with former Patriots and Panthers backup Kyle Love.

Either one would provide depth at the nose tackle position behind starter Vita Vea, a role that Beau Allen had over the last two seasons in Tampa Bay. Allen signed as a free agent with New England this past spring.
Williams, 6-3, 311 pounds, joined the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2015 before going to Kansas City in 2018. Williams has posted 83 tackles and three sacks in his career.
Love, 6-1, 310 pounds, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Patriots in 2010 and spent two seasons in New England. The former Mississippi State product settled in with the Panthers after bouncing around with stints in Jacksonville and Kansas City, and played in Carolina for six seasons, totaling 15 career sacks and 147 tackles.
Both players have ties to members of the Bucs organization. GM Jason Licht was with the Patriots as their director of player personnel when Love was signed as an undrafted free agent, and Bruce Arians was the head coach in Arizona when Williams joined the organization.
