Per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bucs plan to bring back Jameis Winston as their starting QB for the 2019 season. Winston is due $20 million in 2019, which is only guaranteed for injury.
Next season will be Winston’s fifth year as the Bucs starter. He has thrown for 2,647 yards on the year with 15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 10 games. The Bucs have never signed a QB that they drafted to a second contract in team history.
