Lavonte David has been one of the best linebackers in football since joining the NFL in 2012 and has been underrated for his entire career.
David has put up impressive numbers year in and year out with 1,007 tackles, 22.5 sacks, 21 forced fumbles, 11 interceptions and three defensive scores, yet that somehow has only earned him one Pro Bowl appearance and one All-Pro Honors.
The Bucs haven’t been in the limelight too much due to a number of losing seasons, but that’s all set to change with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in town. Tampa Bay is expected to have a lot of primetime games this season, which means the national media will get to see what David can do. And Good Morning Football’s Peter Schrager believes that David will not only make the Pro Bowl at 30 years old, but is set to have the best season of his career and make All-Pro again.
“Lavonte David is one of the best linebackers in all of football,” Schrager said. “He’s played eight seasons, he’s missed just six games in his career, he’s had over 1,000 tackles, he’s only been to one Pro Bowl. You put him on national television and you’re gonna see him get 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 tackles a game. I think Lavonte David becomes a star and is a first team All-Pro this season with some national spotlight games.”

"When you sign Tom Brady, you become a primetime team. And with that, guys who haven't been spotlight players become household names. America, after 8 years, it's time to finally learn about Lavonte David, the best LB that gets the least love." — @PSchrags | @Buccaneers pic.twitter.com/bq5xDwlq0O
