FAB 5. SR’s Buc Shots
• BROWN LOOKS “FANTASTIC”: New Bucs wide receiver Antonio Brown officially joined the Buccaneers on Wednesday for team meetings and to work out with Tampa Bay’s strength and conditioning staff. Brown is still serving an eight-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy and is not eligible to practice with the team on the field until next Wednesday and can’t play with the Bucs until Week 9 when the New Orleans Saints come to town for a Sunday Night Football game.
“He looks fantastic,” Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said. “I think we had really good conversations today, he and I,” Arians said. “He was in the meetings and everything. And he’s working with Anthony Piroli and the strength staff. He looks in great shape. Yeah, ready to go next week.”
• BRADBERRY VS. EVANS – AGAIN: Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans and New York Giants cornerback James Bradberry have had some epic battles over the years when Bradberry was in Carolina. They will meet again for the eighth time on Monday night and the physical, 6-foot-1, 210-pound Bradberry, who has 11 pass breakups and three interceptions in 2020, has nothing but respect for the three-time Pro Bowl receiver.

“I have to prepare for that by watching film,” Bradberry told Yahoo! Sports. “But I feel like Mike Evans, he’s the same guy that he was a year ago, two years ago. Big, physical guy, plays well through press coverage because he’s a strong, physical guy. He’s 6-5, 230, I think, 220, long arms.
“I think his best attribute is he’s able to go up there and attack the ball at the highest point. Just an elite receiver overall. A lot of it is just mental recall from the past experiences when I played him when it comes to pressing him, when he gives his release off the line, stuff like that.”

• GOODWIN INTERVIEW IS A GOOD WATCH: Tampa Bay offensive coordinator and play-caller Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles get a great deal of publicity from the local and national media, and rightly so as both have done a very good job with their respective units this season in the Bucs’ 5-2 start. Yet assistant head coach, offensive line coach and run game coordinator Harold Goodwin doesn’t get much of the media spotlight and certainly deserves some recognition, too.
Goodwin’s offensive line has helped power the Bucs’ high-scoring offense. Aside from an improved running game featuring Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette this season, Goodwin’s O-line has allowed just eight sacks through seven games, and has not surrendered a sack in four contests this year. If you’re unfamiliar with Goodwin, I encourage you to watch his introductory press conference back in January 2019 when he was introduced as part of Bruce Arians’ staff. I bet you’ll come away as impressed as I was.
