Bucs’ three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans did not practice for a third straight day this week and was seen working with team trainer Bobby Slater on an outdoor field while the team practiced indoors, according to Tampa Bay Times Bucs beat reporter Rick Stroud.

Evans is dealing with a hamstring injury and will be a game-time decision for Tampa Bay’s season opener at New Orleans, according to head coach Bruce Arians, who addressed the issue in a conference call with the media on Wednesday.

“It’s day-to-day,” Arians said Wednesday. “We’ll see how it goes.”

The fact that Evans missed practice on Thursday is not a good sign for him playing in Sunday’s game versus the Saints.

Evans has dealt with hamstring injuries before in his six years in Tampa Bay, as recently as last year. Evans tore his hamstring after catching a touchdown pass against Indianapolis and missed the final three games of the 2019 season. Evans also missed playing in the Pro Bowl in February while rehabbing his hamstring injury.
