Bucs fans, this is where you can track all Tampa Bay’s additions to their practice squad following final roster cuts. The Bucs can keep 16 players on their practice squad, including six players with two or more accrued seasons. Most of the players on the Bucs practice squad will be from their current roster, but a few could be outside additions as well.

2021 Bucs Practice Squad
• Per Greg Auman, WR Travis Jonsen and DT Kobe Smith will return to the Bucs practice squad.
These will come in a flurry, but two of the Bucs’ final cuts are coming back to Tampa Bay’s practice squad in receiver Travis Jonsen and defensive lineman Kobe Smith.

• Per Auman, WR Jaydon Mickens, WR Cyril Grayson and TE Codey McElroy will return as well. Three wide receivers are on the Bucs practice squad now in Mickens, Grayson and Jonsen.

• Per Rick Stroud, the Bucs are signing former safety Andrew Adams to the practice squad. Adams was released by the Eagles on Tuesday. He was one of the few free agents to leave Tampa Bay this offseason.

• Per Auman, the Bucs are bringing back DT Benning Potoa’e, QB Ryan Griffin, CB Herb Miller and OL Brandon Walton.
• Tampa Bay added a running back that was cut from Kansas City in Darwin Thompson. The 5-foot-8, 200-pound Thompson was a sixth-round pick by the Chiefs in 2019. He had 64 carries for 225 yards (3.4 avg.) and two touchdowns, as well as 16 catches for 108 yards (6.8 avg.) and one touchdown.
Darwin Thompson will join the Buccaneers practice squad rather than returning to the Chiefs, a source tells The Star.

• The Bucs are signing TE Deon Yelder, per Auman. Yelder spent the past two seasons with the Chiefs.

Bucs Moving On
• Per Greg Auman, TE Tanner Hudson won’t be back on the Bucs practice squad this season. Hudson signed with the 49ers practice squad.
One Bucs cut who won’t be returning to Tampa is tight end Tanner Hudson, who will get a fresh start elsewhere whether he’s claimed or just signing to another practice squad. Good three-year run here and earned a Super Bowl ring.

• Per Pewter Report’s J.C. Allen, the Bucs are not looking to return safety Javon Hagan to the practice squad.

• According to the NFL’s waiver wire report, Bucs CB Chris Wilcox was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts off waivers. No other Bucs were claimed. Tampa Bay also did not win any claims on the waiver wire.
