After an 11-day hiatus away from the game, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady made his return to the team facility on Monday. He was in attendance at practice this afternoon as the Bucs began to warm up.

Reports ran through that Brady was in the building Monday morning, so practicing would be the next logical step. He had been excused from practice for personal reasons, and head coach Todd Bowles long mantained that Brady would be back this week.

With Brady out, the Bucs turned to Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask as their main quarterbacks. Gabbert was solid in limited amount of playing time in both preseason games. Trask, on the other hand, had a good game at home against the Dolphins, but struggled heavily in Saturday night’s road game facing the Titans.

In the session of time allowed for photo and video at practice, Brady and the rest of the quarterbacks went through brief passing drills. For the first one, Brady focused on footwork, going through pads before making his throws.

Next, he worked on a more traditional passing situation. He threw deeper down the field. It’s just warmups, but it doesn’t look like Brady has much rust after a little time off.

Brady wasn’t the only star player who returned to practice, though. Wide receiver Mike Evans also came back to practice and worked out with his Bucs teammates. He had been out with a hamstring injury that he suffered before the first preseason game. Evans initially warmed up without pads or a helmet with him, but he went back inside and put them on.

It’s not known whether Brady or Evans will play in the final preseason game against the Colts this weekend. But Tampa Bay is getting its most important players back with the regular season right around the corner.
