It won’t be long now until the Bucs get their 50th season as an NFL franchise fully underway, as the team opens up preseason play Saturday night against the Titans at Raymond James Stadium. That will mark the unofficial start of season No. 50 of football in Tampa Bay, as that looming Week 1 game at Atlanta will be the true beginning.

Of course, the Bucs have a whole lot in store for their fans this season to celebrate 50 years,  The second round of voting in the team’s “best moments” bracket just wrapped up, as fans have an opportunity to vote to decide the most meaningful moment in franchise history.

We also have some content here at Pewter Report in celebration of the team’s’ 50th season That includes the drafting of our Bucs all-time teams, as well as the unveiling of Pewter Report’s Top 50 Bucs of all time. We also just caught up with Hall of Fame head coach and Bucs Ring of Honor member Tony Dungy on Monday’s Pewter Report Podcast, and we discussed Dungy’s time in Tampa, some Buccaneer history and the outlook for this year’s team.

Not only that, but we also have a Throwback Thursday-type series covering 50 memorable games in Bucs history. Last week, we covered games 21-25, which fell between 2003 and 2005. This week’s video starts in 2006 and carries into the 2010 season.
