Watching Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke mic’d up was one of the most fun “Mic’d up” videos you’ll ever see. If you don’t want to take my word for it, offensive coordinator Dave Canales gave a ringing endorsement of how enjoyable it was for him.

“Just seven minutes of pure fun to watch it,” Canales said Thursday. Bucs fans, if you haven’t had a chance to watch that, please check it out.”

Luke Goedeke is known for playing with a mean streak, but he took it up a notch during Tampa Bay’s 30-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16. After the Bucs released the video of Goedeke, it started to make its waves on social media as it was filled with plenty of funny moments.

From when he found the peppermint “smellies” to trash-talking numerous Jaguars’ defensive linemen and telling them “You don’t want this!” and to “check the scoreboard,” it is clear that he is filled with energy and brings the smacktalk to another level.

“It’s great for our attitude of who we want to be,” Canales added about the video. “It’s about toughness. This game at the end of the day, it’s about these one-on-one matchups. You see a guy who just – from snap one until the end – all the way through, he’s challenging the guys across from him. I think he liked being mic’d up a little bit too, so there’s a little showmanship in there that I didn’t know he had which was pretty cool to see.”

Luke Goedeke also has another career lined up – when he wants it. He is well on his way to being an NFL tackle for years to come, but what about being a waterboy? Goedeke would make a heck of a Bobby Boucher, his idol growing up. He gave his best impression of “The Waterboy,” including the iconic line – “Hey, you remember the time when Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the MudDogs when the Bourbon Bowl, do ya?”

Near the end of the game, Baker Mayfield and Luke Goedeke had a little fun messing with each other, including when Mayfield told the guys in the huddle to “be smart, help each other up” and told Luke “no dumb s–t.”
