The Bucs absolutely crushed the Carolina Panthers, 32-6, in a beat down on the road. Each unit for the Bucs was great and made splash plays. Antonio Brown shined in his return. Ke’Shawn Vaughn had a highlight 55-yard touchdown run and Ronald Jones reached the end zone as well for the offense.

Jordan Whitehead was arguably the best player on the field and the defense teamed up for seven sacks. They also didn’t allow a touchdown for the second straight game. This all led to the Bucs clinching their first NFC division title since 2007.

In a game like this where the Bucs controlled the pace from beginning to end, there’s really not much to complain about. Enjoy it, Bucs fans. There’s essentially nothing to be mad from Sunday’s demolition derby, with the exception of a knee injury to outside linebacker Shaq Barrett.

Most Disappointing comes out after every Bucs game, no matter if it’s a win or loss. This one is nitpicking at best, but here were the most disappointing moments and players from Sunday’s win.

Bucs Run Defense On Designed QB Runs

I said we’re nitpicking, right? Tampa Bay did an excellent job stopping Carolina’s running backs all day, but found themselves in some trouble when there were some designed runs for Cam Newton. The former MVP was the Panthers’ leading rusher with five carries for 42 yards and an average of 8.4 yards per attempt. He gouged the Bucs on the first drive of the game with a 33-yard run to set the Panthers up inside the 10. As the game went on, the Bucs built a big enough lead where passing quarterback Sam Darnold had to be put it. The little success that Carolina had was running with the quarterback.

WR Tyler Johnson

This was a huge opportunity to step up and be an impact player for the Bucs with Chris Godwin done for the season and Mike Evans out. Yet it was Cyril Grayson who found himself being a contributor at receiver outside of Antonio Brown. Not only did Johnson not make a catch in the game, he didn’t even get a target. The only time he was noticed was when he failed to make a block on a screen to Antonio Brown. With the emergence of Grayson, Johnson might even get less playing time when Breshad Perriman gets off the COVID list.

Bucs Equipment Manager

If you looked close enough, you may have noticed that there was no captain’s “C” emblem on the shoulder of Tom Brady’s jersey. Many fans were wondering why that was the case when fellow captains Devin White and Kevin Minter had it on theirs. It just had to be a mistake by whoever places the jerseys in the lockers before the game. Brady has been a captain in his two seasons with the Bucs.
