WELCOME TO THE 2018 FREE ACENCY TRACKER

***updated: 5:40 p.m. EDT 3/17/18***

Here at PewterReport.com, we’re going to give you your one-stop shop for all your free agency fixes as one of the most hectic weeks of the football year comes to pass.

Though we are a Bucs-centric site, we’ll be tracking almost all of the big-name free agents in real time here on this page, because where players go could affect other moves around the league, and will ultimately be players the Bucs face, at some point, as well. Just because you may not see a player’s name on this list right away, that doesn’t mean we won’t be adding them as rumors and reports start to come out about different players.

Make sure you’re checking back in with this page to get not only the official signings of the players, but also any well-sourced rumors of where some of the big-name players may be going before it happens.

When players are signed, we will update that next to their name with the team and contract details, if known.

And didn’t realized that McKinnon played QB, RB and CB in college. Frigging blew up the combine as well as one of the top performers in every drill, including a 4.41 forty and 32 reps on the bench 5′ 9″ 209lbs.

Time to find out Lichts “plan”. Thanks for the updates guys. Love this site. No pass rushers on the list. Still amazed licht didnt get quinn for a 4th and swap of 6ths. But on to the next stage. Cmon Licht make the team better.

Sign Jensen, Sitton, Gaines, Colvin, Lewis, Lotulelei, and Vaccaro from this list.

You didn’t mention DE. Get Vinny Curry, Aaron Lynch, and Alex Okafor.

Then suddenly, the Bucs are not nearly as needed at any position and will be free to draft BPA: Vea, Fitzpatrick, or James. Or trade down with Bills and grab 2 quality DL or a DL and a RB. No matter what happens, the Bucs must draft linemen on both sides to develop. Football is won in the trenches!

Trevor, what do the colors mean for the approximate signing values? Is that to show how much interest the Bucs have, or is it what you guys “think” the Bucs interest should be? I was confused because this list also includes players at a position of need even though the Bucs have no interest in them? I was mainly curious because it seems that Okafor is the best available DE in FA and we do not seem to be showing much interest in him, and he has a red Price tag. I know I’m late in asking this, but can… Read more »

Yes they’d better get lots of linemen on both sides. I think they realized that after last year, hope so anyway. I’d sign Jensen, Sitton, Suh, Okafor, Clayborn, Gaines, and Lewis. Set them up nicely for the draft. Pretty sure the Glazers wont pony up that much money tho but heres to wishing.

Honey Bear, I don’t think we will be adding 10 players via FA, your list is a little long. Although, I do like a lot of the names on it. Hopefully we are selective and get some good fits for the Bucs. A good fit is usually better than the biggest name.

Charlie

I think if we can sign Jensen, Lewis and Gaines, it would be a pretty good coup…we do need a defensive tackle though to, if Suh could drop his price tag a little bit I’d say him too.

Honey Bear

I don’t think Suh would drop his price tag for the Bucs. If anything, we would probably have to pay him more, unless he just loves the state of Florida that much. Also, I don’t know that he is a good fit for our team chemistry. We have young leaders. Suh does not have a great reputation. I think we are better off spending less on a guy like Lotulelei and bringing back Clinton McDonald.

makski
Reply to  Charlie

Charlie, I’m with you but think we HAVE to get Okafor, even if we overpay a little. He is by far, the best pass rushing, true DE left in FA. I also would love Lewis, but I think the RB’s in this FA period are going to be too hard to sign and cost WAY too much! I think we will need to draft 2 RB’s, one early and one late/undrafted. Or, we are going to have to wait for all the RB’s to be paid, then get anybody who is left. Crowell or somebody.

Suh should be a Buc but who knows what goes through Meatballs head during the summer. He’s paying Ayers and Gholston almost 14M but will find a reason not to pursue Suh. Vea is nice but why not sign Suh, get Shepard in the 3rd and let him develop behind 2 great players. Makes too much sense is my guess.

Here the Bucs are being linked to yet ANOTHER rotational DL this Beau guy from the Eagles that we will probably overpay with the hope that increased snaps will increase his production. Another player with a ceiling of Clint McDonald and a floor of Chris Baker. Meanwhile Jacksonville is busy paying Norwell and getting difference makers in FA while we sift through dumpsters hoping for a nickel. Gaines yet another player that hasn’t taken the next step and the list goes on. At some point we have to realize, it’s better to sign 2 impact FAs vs 5 mediocre FAs.… Read more »

If Djax is gone Bucs should add Paul Richardson, cheaper replacement to add to Evans, Godwin and Humphries.

Hard to know until we see the first-year breakdown on Brate, but somewhere around $48m to $50m in remaining cap space for Bucs.

FYI PR staff: You have an auto-playing 300×250 Hulu ad on your mobile experience that hijacks the experience and scrolls down to the ad everytime it refreshes. This is a horrible user experience, not to mention this is considered ad fraud by third-party ad fraud detection services. I doubt this was done intentionally, but if so, you might want to consider fixing that issue. I’ve reached out to someone in ad sales at Hulu and brought it to their attention, as this type of activity is something advertisers hate their brands to be associated with. OL 1-2 of Norwell/Jensen/Sitton. If we get Jensen, we can move Marpet back to G where he really shines. RB Crowell would be my first choice but McKinnon or Lewis would be valuable as well while we develop our rookie RB. DL Suh is probably not worth the extra money and headache. I’d go with Poe at DT and Okafor/Lynch/Curry DE CB I say put in an offer for all of them and see where the cards fall. I have not been a big fan of taking Vea at 7, although I like him a lot. If we could get something like this in FA, while skipping the DT position, I would have no problem with Vea at 7. Jensen at C, Sitton or Pugh at G, Okafor and Lynch at DE, EJ Gaines at CB. That is a big push for 5 FA’s that would solidify our team and make the draft a little more BPA friendly. Could also make a trade for J James as a backup or starting OT. That would leave us about 8… Read more »

They need to sign one of the remaining D. tackles from the sheer fact we only currently have two on the roster. One has never played before, and one is over thirty. Would think one corner from the remaining group, right? Since Hawley, Smith, Phampile are gone, we need to grab a G.C..

Since you’re not going to get a great edge rusher concentrate a couple picks on DB’s and if nothing else provide upgrades and depth for our DB’s.
