Wide Receiver
Most impressive: DaeSean Hamilton | WR | Penn State
DaeSean Hamilton was one of a few wide receivers who had a nice weeks in Mobile. Hamilton was also a participant at the East-West Shrine event and there he was pretty quiet. But, at the Senior Bowl, he took his game to the next level. Hamilton, along with James Washington from Oklahoma State, were the best in the bunch of players who could separate with great routes and explosiveness. I expected it from Washington, but Hamilton was a pleasant surprise.
Most disappointing: Jaleel Scott | WR | New Mexico State
I wanted Jaleel Scott to show me more as a complete receiver and as a red zone threat, but as the week progressed he just seemed to be less reliable than I initially thought. Though his 6-foo-5 frame and length is still alluring, he doesn’t have the sure hands I wanted to see. If you’re a big receiver who isn’t overly athletic, you have to have great hands. Scott failed to stand out in that way.
