The Buccaneers main goal for their 2018 free agency plan has been to improve both sides of the trenches. So far, the greater emphasis has been on getting better on the defensive side, trying to improve the league’s worst pass rush from 2017.

In addition to adding Beau Allen and Mitch Unrein on the interior, a report from ESPN’s Jenna Laine tells us that the team has also agreed to terms with pass rush Vinny Curry.

Curry, who will be 30 when the 2018 season begins, was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. In his six seasons in Philly, Curry recorded 22 sacks, including nine in one season. Curry was released by the Eagles earlier this free agency period to make room for Michael Bennett and Haloti Ngata as the team’s new additions.

Curry is now the third new defensive lineman to be added this free agency period.
