PewterReport.com and Pin Chasers, one of Tampa’s most well-known and loved bowling alleys, are in their second year of a partnership.

And with the partnership comes an opportunity to make a difference in the community with charity bowling mixers that will help raise money for a number of great organizations.

This event will benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, which was the favorite charity of Pewter Report’s Mark Cook’s mother, who passed away in January after a short illness.

This month’s mixer will be held Friday, May 4 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Pin Chasers location on Armenia Avenue in Tampa. The cost is a $15 charitable donation per person (children under 10, cost is $10) and that allows Tampa Bay fans unlimited bowling for two hours, while enjoying FREE pizza and soft drinks courtesy of Pin Chasers, plus a rewards card good for 5 more FREE bowling games – a $35 value.

The night will be filled with some current and former Bucs players, including safety Chris Conte, wide receiver Adam Humphries, tight end Alan Cross and linebacker Adarius Taylor (Glanton) plus a number of local media personalities who are coming out to support the cause — T.J. Rives of the Buccaneer Radio Network, former Bucs player and 102.5 The Bone host Ian Beckles, JoeBucsFan.com’s Ira Kaufman and good friend of PewterReport.com, 620 WDAE host J.P. Peterson are all scheduled to attend.

A partial list of the prizes that will be raffled off are 8×10 autographed pictures of Jameis Winston, Demar Dotson and Pat Murray, a $100 gift card to the Columbia Restaurant, a $50 gift card to Ford’s Garage, plus an autographed Winston football card and action figure. Pin Chasers is also donating a bowling ball and other items for the event.

“My Mom was an animal lover. In fact, I believe she loved animals more than people,” Cook said. “The older I get, I am starting to understand why a little bit more. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the park across the street from Lowry Park and feed the squirrels. The Humane Society does so much in the community, and after she passed I thought it was kind of fitting to help honor her memory. I think she would be proud.”

Even if you aren’t a bowler you can still attend and buy raffle tickets for prizes. 100 percent of the proceeds raised will be given to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. If anyone is interested in donating items for the raffle, please contact [email protected].

There is no official sign up, but we would appreciate an RSVP in the comment section or on the FaceBook event page.
