This honor comes after a second-straight 400-yard, four TD performance in the team’s 27-21 victory over the Eagles on Sunday.
Fitzpatrick is the third player since the 1970 NFL/AFL merger to put up consecutive games with more than 400 yards passing with four touchdowns. Only Miami’s Dan Marino and Tennessee’s Billy Volek have done it before. He is the first player since the merger to do so in the first two games of the season, and he is the only player in NFL history to throw for more than 400 yards and four touchdowns in each of the first two games of a season.
