Pewter Power Rankings is a weekly feature compiled by PewterReport.com’s Fantasy Football Analyst Andrew Scavelli every Tuesday during the regular season. Each week Scavelli will rank the league’s teams from best to worst based on their performance and outlook going forward at that point of the season, with a focus on the Buccaneers.

CURRENT BUCCANEERS RANKING: 21 (-5)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After a tough loss to the Atlanta Falcons that resulted in the team firing their defensive coordinator, Tampa Bay fell back to the same spot they began the season at in the Pewter Power Rankings. During the bye week the Bucs reset their offense with quarterback Jameis Winston taking back his starting role and now the team will be looking to do the same on the other side of the ball with new defensive coordinator Mark Duffner at the helm. It’s hard to say how much of an impact this move will make for Tampa Bay’s struggling defense, but it’s also difficult to imagine that it could possibly get any worse for that unit. The good news is that they’ll be in a favorable position to begin their fresh start at home against Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, who injured himself early in last Sunday’s game against the Chargers and may still struggle with his mobility this week.
