The Bucs on Tuesday have announced the release of WR Freddie Martino after re-signing him just three days ago on October 13th. This is the second time Martino has been released by the Bucs this season, with the first cut made to open up a roster spot for Jameis Winston.

The Bucs have also released practice squad players Jarron Jones and Dare Ogunbowale, while simultaneously signing David Rivers and Ruben Holcomb to the practice squad.

Holcomb (6-4, 309) spent this past offseason and preseason with Tampa Bay. He played collegiately at the University of Indianapolis. A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, he will wear No. 70 for the Buccaneers.

Rivers (6-0, 185) appeared in one game for Tampa Bay in 2017 and spent time on the team’s practice squad. The Miami native spent this past offseason with the Buccaneers, before being waived on August 8. Rivers, who played collegiately at Youngstown State, will wear No. 37 for Tampa Bay.

Bucs have also re-signed OLB Devante Bond.

Ughh, I’m not a fan of Bond but Duffner wants him back for a reason I guess. I also thought Ogunbowale had a good preseason and was well regarded. Surprised to see him cut.

when will bucs replace 77- benenoch, he performs terribly, consistently at RG? it doesnt appear Bucs serious about getting best players on field, since we have other better players? Would love to see either Wester-OT or Liedtke-OG, get shot at RG. Liedtke played very solid in preseason for Donovan smith when hurt?! Evan smith is doing much better job, even he should be starting, NOT rotating! Come on Koetter, dont wait for him to miss block and get QB or RB killed.

I feel same way, why wait till there is a qb injury to replace the right guard Beneneoch, dude is a turnstile, he is not a starter–if you don’t have a clear starter lets go with someone else trustworthy like Evan Smith till Cappa up to speed, wish we could get a Cappa update-they were high on him in training camp

We as fans don’t see all practices etc but I agree it’s very hard to believe that they don’t have anyone on roster than can start at RG and play better. Like mentioned above E. Smith is at least average I think? More importantly I liked Pewter Reports idea of trying J. Elliott at Nickel again. Stewart is really struggling and It does look like he’s not athletic or fast enough to play slot WR’s on regular basis. Seems like this team is just slow to replace anyone including Mike Smith! If it’s working you try something else! It’s nit… Read more »
