The Bucs are off and running in the search for their next head coach. According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Bucs have already set up interviews with Chiefs’ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, and Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards.
Bieniemy, who has a week off with the Chiefs for clinching the bye, will interview on Wednesday. Under the tutelage of Any Reid in his first year as offensive coordinator, he led the Chiefs to the number one offense in the NFL, averaging 35.3 points a game.
Previously, Bieniemy was a running backs coach for the Minnesota Vikings and head coach for the University of Colorado, before joining the Chiefs staff as a running backs coach. He is also set to interview with the Jets, Dolphins, and Bengals.
#Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy is set to interview with two teams today — #Jets and #Bucs. He’ll do his #Dolphins interview tomorrow. The #Bengals interview is Friday, following Vance Joseph’s today. He’s elected to not take the #AZCardinals interview. Four is plenty.

Edwards will be interviewing with the Bucs on Friday. As part of Mike Zimmer’s staff as defensive coordinator starting in 2014, he helped build the Vikings to become the top rated defense in the 2017 season, allowing the fewest yards and points on the season.

Before his run as the Vikings defensive coordinator, he’s also held that same position for the Bills and was a linebacker’s coach for the Dolphins among various stops around the league.
