The Bucs have placed linebacker Kendell Beckwith on the reserve/non-football injury list. Beckwith missed the entire 2018 season after suffering an offseason ankle injury in a car accident in which he was passenger.
Beckwith will not count against the Buccaneers’ 90-man offseason roster limit.

Beckwith was a third-round draft pick out of LSU in 2017 and despite suffering an ACL injury in November of 2016, the former Bengal Tiger was ready to go for training camp the following year. Beckwith had a promising start to his career, first filling in for Kwon Alexander as the team’s middle linebacker before sliding over and finishing his rookie campaign as the team’s starter at strong side. He played in all 16 games as a rookie, notching 73 tackles, one sack, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.
The organization hoped Beckwith’s injury would have been sufficiently healed to join the team at some point in 2018, but after starting the season on the PUP list(physically unable to perform) he wasn’t cleared by doctors and was placed on injured reserve.
