We learned when the Bucs were going to play each of their opponents in 2020 when the NFL released its schedule on Thursday. Just one day later, it turns out that the Bucs will also have some competition in training camp too, as Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said on Friday that the Jaguars and Bucs will have join practices together in Tampa Bay, per Mark Long of the Associated Press.

The Bucs and Jaguars will play against each other in Week 2 of the NFL Preseason, which is set to take place on Saturday, August 22nd. The start of training camp is unknown as of now due to the coronavirus pandemic. The NFL has started re-opening their facilities, but only for staff members.
Tampa Bay is no stranger to having joint practices in recent years, especially against their Floridian neighbor to the North. They’ve had practices over the last four seasons with the Jaguars in 2016 and 2017, Titans in 2018 and Dolphins in 2019.
The last time these two teams met was last year during the regular season when the Bucs went on the road and defeated Jacksonville 28-11. The game was highlighted by Devin White’s first career defensive touchdown on a scoop and score.
