ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that the Bucs have reached a one-year deal with veteran running back LeSean McCoy.
Veteran RB LeSean McCoy reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per @rosenhaussports. “He’s very excited to play with established vets like Brady and Gronk in trying to win another championship,” Rosenhaus said.

McCoy could quickly become one of the Bucs’ most valuable assets catching passes out of the backfield from new quarterback Tom Brady, amassing 503 receptions, 3,797 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns throughout his 11-year career in the NFL.
In 2019 with the Chiefs, McCoy played in 13 games where he totaled 465 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns while adding 181 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown on 34 catches.
The addition comes just days after the Bucs’ third-round pick this year, Ke’Shawn Vaughn, was placed on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
