After two seemingly easy drives to start the game from Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense, the Packers held a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter on Sunday before the Bucs’ answered back with 38 unanswered points en route to a 38-10 victory.

After an 11-play, 80-yard drive that culminated in a one-yard touchdown run from running back Aaron Jones, the Bucs’ offense was unable to answer back, now trailing by 10, and punted it back to the Packers at the beginning of the second quarter. Three plays later Tampa Bay’s defense would set the tone as Rodgers’ third-and-10 pass intended for Davante Adams was jumped by Jamel Dean and returned for a touchdown to cut into Green Bay’s lead. On the ensuing Packers drive, Mike Edwards would get his second interception the season off of a deflection from Carlton Davis in coverage. This interception didn’t go for six but Edwards would return it to the Green Bay 2-yard line, setting up a short field for Ronald Jones’ first of two rushing touchdowns on the day. From that point on it was all Tampa Bay as the Bucs would ultimately score 28 points in the second quarter and tack on 10 more in the second half for a huge statement win.

With the Panthers falling to 3-3 in a loss to Chicago on Sunday and the Saints on a bye week, Tampa Bay moves back into sole possession of first place in the NFC South at 4-2.
