The Buccaneers received some good news on the injury front on the morning of Super Bowl Sunday regarding the status of tight end Cameron Brate and wide receiver Antonio Brown. And rookie free safety Antoine Winfield, Jr. said he is ready to play against Kansas City after a sprained ankle kept him out of the NFC Championship Game.

But what about the availability of strong safety Jordan Whitehead, who suffered a serious shoulder injury against Green Bay two weeks ago? Whitehead’s injury came while forcing a key fumble in the third quarter and knocking running back Aaron Jones out of the game – in addition to himself.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has the latest on Whitehead’s status for Super Bowl LV, which is good news for the Buccaneers.
