Following their season-opening 19-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night, the Bucs remain away from home in Week 2 for a game in New Orleans against the Saints.

Tampa Bay has lost seven straight regular season games to New Orleans, with its last win coming in Week 1 of the 2018 season. Of course, the Bucs did beat the Saints in the playoffs two seasons ago on their way to a history-making Super Bowl victory three weeks later.

While the Bucs look to snap their unfortunate losing streak against the Saints and perhaps begin a winning streak of their own on Sunday afternoon, there could be some more franchise and NFL history on the line. Last week against Dallas, Tampa Bay had Tom Brady pass Doug Williams for sixth on the franchise’s all-time completions list. Lavonte David played his 150th game as a Buc, and Ryan Succop passed James Wilder for eighth on the team’s all-time leaderboard for points scored.

What’s on the line in Week 2? Let’s get to it.

Tom Brady

Brady owns most of the NFL’s passing records, but he’s one fourth-quarter comeback away from tying Peyton Manning (43) for the most in league history.

Leonard Fournette

Fournette had a big performance in Week 1, rushing for 127 yards on 21 carries. He didn’t find the end zone, however. So, he enters Week 2 needing one rushing touchdown to tie Peyton Barber, Earnest Graham and Lars Tate (15) for 10th-most in team history.

With two more rushing touchdowns, Fournette ties Ricky Bell (16) for ninth-most in team history, and four more would tie him with Ronald Jones II (18) for seventh-most.

Mike Evans

Evans’ phenomenal touchdown catch against the Cowboys last week got him six points closer to passing Connor Barth (477) for third-most points scored in Bucs history. He now needs eight more to pass Barth.

The ninth-year receiver’s team-leading 71 receiving yards last week also moved him closer to the franchise’s all-time scrimmage yards record. He now needs 68 more yards to pass James Wilder (9,449) for the top spot.

Sunday will mark Evans’ 123rd career start, which will tie him with Gerald McCoy for ninth-most in team history.

Cameron Brate

Brate remains one total touchdown away from tying Jimmie Giles (34) for fourth-most total touchdowns in team history. His next receiving touchdown will also tie him with Giles (34) for second-most receiving scores in Bucs history.

Bucs Lavonte David

Lavonte David

David is set to make his 151st start on Sunday, leaving him seven away from tying Mike Alstott (158) for seventh-most in franchise history. His 151st overall game will leave him 32 behind Paul Gruber (183) for third-most in Bucs history.

David’s last defensive touchdown came in 2017 when he returned a fumble for a touchdown in Week 5 against Arizona. With one more defensive score, he’ll tie David Logan and Mike Washington (four) for third-most in team history.

Shaq Barrett

Barrett got after Dak Prescott in Week 1, but he failed to register a sack. That means he still needs two more to pass David Logan (39) for fifth-most in Bucs history. He needs one more forced fumble to own seventh on the franchise’s all-time leaderboard, while two more would tie him with Hardy Nickerson (13) for sixth.

Bucs Olb Anthony Nelson

Anthony Nelson

Nelson has recorded a sack in four straight games dating back to Week 16 of last season. With one on Sunday against the Saints, he’ll tie Jason Pierre-Paul (Dec. 21, 2019-Sept. 27, 2020) and Simeon Rice (Dec. 2, 2001-Dec. 29, 2001) for the third-longest sack streak in team history (five games).

Todd Bowles

With a win over the Cowboys last week, Bowles became the fifth Tampa Bay head coach to win his first game. If his team can beat New Orleans on Sunday, he’ll be just the second coach in franchise history to begin his tenure with a 2-0 record. Sam Wyche was the only other one to do it, starting 2-0 in 1992 by beating the Cardinals (23-7) and Packers (31-3).
