After a complete letdown of a 50th season in 2025, the Bucs enter Season 51 in 2026 looking for a big bounce-back campaign.
Things will look much different for Tampa Bay this year without Mike Evans — who left for San Francisco via free agency in March — and the recently retired Lavonte David. But Baker Mayfield and Co. will be looking to rebound after the team’s four-year reign atop the NFC South and five-year playoff streak were snapped thanks to a 2-7 stretch to close last season.
Now, the Bucs know the full road ahead with the release of the 2026 NFL schedule on Thursday night. Their opponents have been set since the end of the 2025 season, and there have been some 2026 schedule leaks throughout this week. But the full schedule is now official.

Tampa Bay will open its 2026 season on the road, traveling to Cincinnati to face the Bengals with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The Bucs will then come home for their home opener in Week 2, hosting the Browns at 1:00 p.m. as Baker Mayfield squares off against his former team. That’s the start of a three-game homestand, too, as the team will then welcome in the Vikings in Week 3 (at 4:05 p.m.) and Packers in Week 4 (1:00 p.m.).
It’ll be a short week between that home game against the Packers and Week 5, when the Bucs go to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. After the mini-bye, Tampa Bay comes home to host Pittsburgh for another 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

NFC South play finally gets underway for the Bucs in Week 7 when they go to Carolina to face the Panthers for a 1:00 p.m. game. Then comes another 1:00 p.m. home game and another divisional game, with the Falcons coming to Raymond James Stadium in Week 8. Tampa Bay will then play at Chicago against the Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 9 ahead of a Week 10 bye.
Out of the bye, the Bucs go to Detroit to face the Lions at 1:00 p.m. just before Thanksgiving. The return game with the Panthers comes in Week 12, with Carolina coming to Tampa for a Monday Night Football game.
The Chargers come to town to open up December with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff, then the Bucs go up to Baltimore to face the Ravens in Week 14 at 1:00 p.m.. In Week 15, the Saints finally come around, visiting Tampa for the first of the two meetings between the two sides. That game is set for 1:00 p.m. five days before Christmas Day.
The regular season then finishes with two road games in a three-week span, with Tampa Bay facing Atlanta in the final game of the 2026 calendar year to start it. That game’s date has not yet been announced, meaning it could come on Saturday or Sunday.

The home finale for the Bucs comes after the turn of the new year, with the Rams coming to Raymond James Stadium in Week 17 for a Sunday game with the kickoff time to be announced. And to finish off the regular season, Tampa Bay goes to the Superdome to face New Orleans, with that game’s date and time also to be announced.
As it stands, the Bucs only have one game in the 4:00 p.m. window, and as Buccaneers.com’s Scott Smith pointed out, the Bucs won’t play a road game in back-to-back weeks at any point this season. That’s just the third time in team history that such is the case, and it’s the first time in 35 years.
Bucs Have Three Games Under The Lights In 2026
The Bucs will once again have plenty of opportunities to exorcise their primetime demons in 2026, with three games getting nighttime slots. Tampa Bay is 4-11 in regular season primetime games under head coach Todd Bowles and 5-13 overall (with a 1-2 mark in the playoffs).
It looked last year as if the Bucs might’ve taken care of their primetime woes after going 0-4 under the lights in the 2024 regular season and 0-5 overall after their Wild Card loss to the Commanders. Because in their first chance to play in primetime, Baker Mayfield and Co. came back late to beat the Texans in Houston, securing a Monday Night Football victory to start the season 2-0.

But what followed were more disappointments in primetime. Tampa Bay lost 24-9 at Detroit on Monday Night Football about a month later, then fell 34-7 to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football a month after that. Then came the infamous “3rd & 28” game in which the Bucs blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead at home against the Falcons on Thursday Night Football.
So, after starting off 1-0 under the lights last year and potentially putting those struggles behind them, Bowles and the Bucs lost their next three games in prime slots. Now, the focus is on 2026 as they look to reverse those trends.
Tampa Bay’s first chance to do so comes in Week 5 when it heads to Dallas for Thursday Night Football. Then comes another shot on the road in Week 9 with a trip to Chicago, and then the third of the Bucs’ three primetime games comes at Raymond James Stadium when they host the Panthers in Week 12 at the end of November.
