Bucs Practice Buzz is a weekly segment on Pewter Report’s YouTube channel Pewter Report TV where we highlight the biggest moments and clips from the day of practice from the Advent Health Training Center.

Wednesday’s Week 4 storyline was all about rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels, who will be making the first start of his NFL career on Sunday. Bucs head coach Todd Bowles spoke about the how Daniels’ previous experience will help him in the build up to the game, while it’s also important to emphasize that Daniels will have 21 other players on offense and defense helping him, so he doesn’t have to do it on his own.

Daniels said that it’s tough to put into words what it means to him to get the start on Sunday. He talked about what advice he got from Baker Mayfield, his expectations for the game, and why his ability to throw and run will be of big importance to try and get the team’s first win.

While chemistry will need to be ramped up with the likes of receivers Chris Godwin Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, he already has it with fellow rookie Ted Hurst III from their time together in the preseason. Hurts spoke about that chemistry he’s built with Daniels while also talking about why people will be able to rally around him.

In all the quarterback news. there are other players on this team that need more snaps. According to Todd Bowles, running back Sean Tucker and outside linebacker David Walker will get those chances next game.
