Behind Enemy Lines is a weekly look at Tampa Bay’s NFC South foes every Tuesday. Let’s spy on the Bucs’ division rivals, shall we?

Atlanta Falcons

• The Falcons announced their plans for season ticket holders for the 2020 season this week. Plans include sending out a survey asking fans which games they want to attend and then holding a drawing to determine who gets an opportunity to buy tickets.

“This challenge has led us to find new and innovative ways to connect, support and engage with our most important fans, our Falcons season ticket members,” AMB Sports and Entertainment CEO Steve Cannon wrote in a letter. “We thank you for your continued loyalty as we work through this process.”

The good news for fans is those who choose not to attend any games in 2020 will have their locations protected in 2021.

• With rookies reporting this week, the Falcons got all of their draft picks under contract on Monday. They reached agreements with cornerback A.J. Terrell, defensive tackle Marlon Davidson, offensive lineman Matt Hennessy, linebacker Mykal Walker, safety Jaylinn Hawkins and punter Sterling Hofrichter according to the team’s website.

• One of the big additions to the Falcons roster this offseason was former Rams running back Todd Gurley. The Georgia native appears to be inspired this offseason, and in a recent YouTube.com roundtable said he has done little but work this offseason.

“I’m not even going to lie, I haven’t worked out this much in my life,” Gurley said. “I mean, it literally hasn’t been nothing to do but to work out.”

The Falcons hope the work pays off as Gurley was signed to replace Devonta Freeman who was released in the spring.

Carolina Panthers

• The Panthers have also announced reduced seating capacity for home games this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In order to accommodate as many PSL Owners as possible in this reduced-capacity scenario, we plan to make a limited number of home games available to each account,” an email sent to season ticket holders by the team said. “The number of games each PSL Owner will have access to will be determined by factors such as approved capacity, overall demand and, in some cases, seating location.”

The team also noted that seating capacity could change as the season goes on.

• Carolina wrapped up the contracts for their rookie class on Tuesday, inking the final two players who were previously unsigned. It was announced that defensive tackle Bravvion Roy and seventh-round cornerback Stantley Thomas-Oliver III had joined the other five members of the Panthers 2020 draft class and were locked in with their rookie deals

New Orleans Saints

• If it were ever a question on who the Bucs biggest NFC South rivals were, it has become more and more clear it is the Saints. With the addition of quarterback Tom Brady, a lot of NFL talking heads have predicted the Buccaneers could overtake the Saints as the champs of the division in 2020, and it appears it might be rubbing some the wrong way.

One person that isn’t buying into all the hype surrounding the Bucs is Saints’ cornerback Janoris Jenkins. While appearing recently on Good Morning Football, the topic about playing against Tampa Bay was brought up.

“We’re only worried about the New Orleans Saints,” Jenkins said. “We understand that Tampa Bay got some new weapons, a new quarterback, but it’s paper. You have to produce on the field, so we’re just worried about the New Orleans Saints at the moment.”

If the 2020 season happens, the Bucs-Saints rivalry should be intense and must-see TV.

• Saints star pass rusher Cam Jordan is tired of the near Super Bowl misses. Last week during an interview on SiriusXM, Jordan talked about being close, but not succeeding.

“I’m heading into year 10. I love it. I’m super excited about it,” defensive end Cameron Jordan said. “You know, there’s nothing in me that is telling me that our team isn’t close to a championship or being a championship-caliber team if you look at the last three years. You know, playoffs, playoffs, playoffs. Playoffs, NFC Championship, playoffs. This is something that we have to capitalize on. You talk about Drew [Brees] coming back, our addition of Jameis Winston. You talk about, you know, we lose Vonn Bell, [but] we bring in Malcolm Jenkins. We go draft an outside linebacker in this Zack Baun kid. You know, Alex Anzalone [is] going to be healthy. There’s so many positives on paper. I just want to get back to the field and really see what we have.”
