The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the 2019 season with a 7-9 record and a third-place in the NFC South division due to a disappointing 28-22 overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams finished 7-9, but the Falcons had a better record in the division (4-2) than the Bucs (2-4), and that gave Atlanta the edge in the division standings.

As a result of Tampa Bay’s third-place finish in the NFC South, the Bucs will play the following teams from the AFC West and NFC North in 2020 in addition to a couple of third-place teams in the other NFC divisions.

Among the highlights of the upcoming 2020 schedule for the Buccaneers include hosting three of the league’s best quarterbacks in Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahommes and Jared Goff, as well as a first-time trip to Las Vegas to play the Raiders and former head coach Jon Gruden. Actual dates and kickoff times will be announced by the league in April prior to the 2020 NFL Draft.

  2. At least 11 wins.
7-1 on the road, losing only to Saints.
4-4 at home, beating Atlanta, Carolina, Rams, and Saints.

  4. NFL trying to make up for this year’s schedule. No west coast trips, and Packers, Vikes and Chiefs here. I’m thinking playoffs. Go Bucs!

    • NFL isn’t trying to make up for anything. Except for the Rams and Giants, the schedule was already known.

        • Yes, here it is up until 2022 .https://fbschedules.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/. The only opponents not known are the ones that will finish in the same place from the other divisions and even then the home or away is known, just not the team. Eg, in 2021, the Bucs play the AFC and NFC East and then home against the NFC North team that finishes the same and on the road against the NFC West team that finishes the same.

  5. After the crappy schedule handed to the Bucs in 2019 they deserve an improved schedule logistically in 2020.

    • Except for the Rams and Giants, the opponents were already fixed, would have been the same no matter what the logistics were this year.

  7. You might be right Sombrero. My wife is already thinking about going to that game in Las Vegas. I’d like to see the Grand Canyon just to prove to myself that there’s a lower place on earth than Ray Jay.
