After a one game absence in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Bucs have activated starting left tackle Donovan Smith from the COVID-19 list. Smith had been a close contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19, but cleared protocol on Tuesday.

Smith’s return will be a welcome sight for quarterback Tom Brady, who had to dodge defenders early on Sunday with Josh Wells in at left tackle. Wells held his own for the most part, but still surrendered five pressures and gave up a sack. Smith should return to the lineup for Tampa Bay this Saturday at 1pm against the host Detroit Lions.
