After a one game absence in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Bucs have activated starting left tackle Donovan Smith from the COVID-19 list. Smith had been a close contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19, but cleared protocol on Tuesday.

Smith’s return will be a welcome sight for quarterback Tom Brady, who had to dodge defenders early on Sunday with Josh Wells in at left tackle. Wells held his own for the most part, but still surrendered five pressures and gave up a sack. Smith should return to the lineup for Tampa Bay this Saturday at 1pm against the host Detroit Lions.

Ran the Playoff Machine on ESPN’s website. If Tampa wins on Saturday, it won’t matter the outcome of the Seahawks/Rams game because Tampa holds the tiebreaker over Seattle. So Tampa gets the 5th seed. Then in Week 17 as long as Tampa beats Atlanta again, the Seahawks/Rams race is also inconsequential because if both teams win, Tampa holds the 5th seed and goes to the NFC East. Here’s hoping Dallas wins the next 2 and Washington loses the next 2. I like Tampa Dallas for the Wild Card.

If Washington wins vs Carolina in Ron Rivera’s revenge game and Giants lose to Baltimore this week, then Washington is in. Bank on that happening bub.

I can’t count the Panthers out. They’re much more competitive than I think anyone expected. Washington has a garbage offense.

Winning the second game against Atlanta wont be as easy. Especially Julio Jones most likely will play. Which corner back will you match him against?

When predicting future playoff seeds I always turn to Michio Kaku.

Davis with a safety over the top. Really the only option.

I find it funny how many people are begging to face the NCF East winner, while simultaneously being afraid to play the Seahawks. I’m sorry, what have the Seahawks done this year? Lol. They’ve had 5 games against winning teams( Mia, Buf, Ari(2), and the Rams) they’ve gone 2-3 in those 5 games. And they have wins by a TD or less against the Pats, Cowboys, Vikings, Phi, and Was. With a loss to the Giants. It’s amazing how everyone fears the Seahawks, but calls the Bucs frauds lol. Gee, they look like a mirror image of each other. Brady… Read more »

I’m not scared of anyone. I just think out of all potential teams, the Cowboys offer the best opportunity for the Bucs to advance. I more want the Rams to try and bump the Saints out, that’s all.

I am however scared of Washington’s pass rush. That’s Brady’s kryptonite.

Looks like Ronald Jones is an actual COVID positive, as he would’ve cleared protocol before Donovan Smith otherwise and I doubt the NFL would allow the Bucs to keep him stashed on the COVID list for the roster spot. Hopefully RoJo recovers in time for the season finale.

He had the surgery the day before he was put on the COVID list last week. And even if he didn’t it would have nothing to do with his COVID status. If he wasn’t a positive, he would either be on the active roster or on IR at this point.

Nice Legrand jersey. I always thought Schiano and the Bucs did a thoughtful thing by signing him to o a professional contract. Apparently Legrand has upper body movement now.

I did not know he was gone. Results seemed the same to me.
