After a one game absence in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Bucs have activated starting left tackle Donovan Smith from the COVID-19 list. Smith had been a close contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19, but cleared protocol on Tuesday.

Smith’s return will be a welcome sight for quarterback Tom Brady, who had to dodge defenders early on Sunday with Josh Wells in at left tackle. Wells held his own for the most part, but still surrendered five pressures and gave up a sack. Smith should return to the lineup for Tampa Bay this Saturday at 1pm against the host Detroit Lions.

Ran the Playoff Machine on ESPN’s website. If Tampa wins on Saturday, it won’t matter the outcome of the Seahawks/Rams game because Tampa holds the tiebreaker over Seattle. So Tampa gets the 5th seed. Then in Week 17 as long as Tampa beats Atlanta again, the Seahawks/Rams race is also inconsequential because if both teams win, Tampa holds the 5th seed and goes to the NFC East. Here’s hoping Dallas wins the next 2 and Washington loses the next 2. I like Tampa @ Dallas for the Wild Card.

If Washington wins vs Carolina in Ron Rivera’s revenge game and Giants lose to Baltimore this week, then Washington is in. Bank on that happening bub.
