On Friday, the Bucs activated long snapper Zach Triner from the COVID list. Triner was placed in the protocol on Monday, but cleared in time to be activated on Friday. As a vaccinated played, Triner only needed two negative tests 24 hours apart and to remain symptom-free. Now the third-year player appears ready to play this Sunday against the Bills.

Earlier in the week, the Bucs signed ex-long snapper Garrison Sanborn in case Triner wasn’t ready for Sunday. Carson Tinker filled in for Triner earlier in the year, but was released a few weeks ago. Triner has only played in four games this season after a Week 1 finger injury.
“[Triner] is the first guy to beat the 10 day thing,” Arians said. “That’s a good sign.”
The Bucs return to action when they host the Bills this Sunday in Week 14.
