Tampa’s numbers weren’t eye-popping, but far from dismal. I agree Bob that the organization needs to put out a quality product and generate excitement. They aren’t entitled to people showing up. I’ve been to games since the Sombrero years and know that Mr. C ran it on the cheap. Glazers haven’t been successful in the last decade but they aren’t trying to roll out garbage onto the field either.

  5. What do the glazers need to do more. They have spent tons of money in free agency. They have hired up and coming coordinators. Hired supposed great defensive coaches. Now they have hired a two time coach of the year supposed qb whisperer. But I am a believer this guy just stumbled into jobs with great qbs. Who would have been great with or without him. It was more about the student than the teacher. The problem for the bucs the last 17 years has been the qbs. Chris’s Simms, Jeff Garcia , Bruce josh Johnson, josh freeman, mike glennon, josh McCown, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jameis Winston. And I’m sure I’m leaving a couple off the list. Every great team has a great qb for a good 10 plus year run. And even good qbs keep there teams relevant for years see Matt Ryan, can newton, Philip rivers, Alex Smith. We have to find a real qb before things will ever change.

    • I agree with Jeffbuc. It isn’t the Glaziers fault. The only time they were a little cheap was right after they bought ManU.
The trouble with Winston is not one of spirit or desire. I believe he is trying as hard as he can. The problem is ability and in two specific areas. First, his deep ball is rarely on target. For some reason he just can’t properly lead receivers – consistently. Second problem is his ability to rapidly recognize secondary receivers AND ACT quickly to release the ball. Not sure if he is analyzing it to death in his mind or if he can’t process the info fast enough. In his defense, a better O-line would help. If the BUCs don’t improve their record this year, does Winston get a new contract? If not, what do the BUCs do? Draft a QB or a #1 offensive lineman? Hard decisions ahead for any management group.
