Even after unretiring, Tom Brady is back on the golf course.
The Bucs quarterback announced on Monday that he will team up with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to face Bills quarterback Josh Allen and the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes for another edition of “The Match”. It’s a competition between elite quarterbacks like we’ve never seen before.
We tried to make this a tag team cage match but the lawyers said our contracts wouldn’t allow it…#CapitalOnesTheMatch is back, June 1st. Let’s kick their ass @AaronRodgers12 | @JoshAllenQB @PatrickMahomes pic.twitter.com/3ByQqBkIJR

This is Brady’s third time participating in this golf competition. He previously teamed up with PGA golfer Phil Mickelson, but the duo has gone 0-2 as a pairing. They lost to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in 2020 and then to Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau last year.
Luckily, this time around Brady doesn’t have to go against any other pro golfers in the match-play format. Rodgers is a frequent player, and both Allen and Mahomes have been featured as celebrity players on the PGA’s AT&T Pro-Amateur celebrity event at Pebble Beach. Brady and NBA legend Michael Jordan won the event together back in 2006.
Between the foursome at quarterback, they have combined for nine Super Bowls, seven Super Bowl MVPs, seven regular season MVPs, eight first-team All-Pro nominations and 30 Pro Bowl selections.
Brady will hope the outcome of this will be the same as his last two games against Allen and Mahomes. The Bucs beat the Bills 33-27 at home in overtime last season. Meanwhile, Brady and the Bucs defeated Mahomes and the Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV, also played at Raymond James Stadium.
The match, which is presented by Capital One, will take place on June 1st at the Wynn in Las Vegas. The tee time is set for 6:30 PM and you can watch it on TNT’s broadcast.
