The 2022 Bucs are loaded with talent at every skill position, making for some good options in fantasy football play. In both season-long formats and daily fantasy sports (DFS), Tampa Bay has a plethora of viable options that could produce points for your team. Each week, I’ll take a look at the best options to start and sit, as well as a few sleepers to roll with in both formats.
Here is the Bucs’ fantasy outlook for Sunday night’s Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs in Tampa:
Start ‘Em
Mike Evans
Fresh off of his one-game suspension, Evans is fully healthy and no longer dealing with the hamstring or calf injuries that were plaguing him. What makes Evans a clear “start him” option in all formats is his matchup this week against Chiefs cornerback Rashad Fenton. Though three games this season, Fenton has allpwed an 85.7% completion rate when targeted, giving up 12 of 14 passes directed his way for 158 yards. His coverage grade this season has been far from where it has been in prior seasons and quarterbacks targeting him have a 113.7 passer rating. Evans is primed to have his first breakout game of the season and break some Bucs records while doing so.

Tom Brady
With his full cast of weapons at his disposal, Brady should have no trouble moving the ball against Kansas City’s secondary. While it remains to be seen if Julio Jones and Chris Godwin will be on any kind of a pitch count, having them out on the field will help create for everyone else. Brady is at his best when spreading the ball around to the open man to gain yards and keep drives alive, and now he has the offensive playmakers to help him do it. He’s a bargain right now in DFS play and should be in for a 250-plus yards, two-touchdown performance Sunday Night.
Sit ‘Em
Leonard Fournette
While I don’t think the Bucs are going to move off of trying to establish the ground game, recent comments suggest they will try and get backups Rachaad White and Ke’Shawn Vaughn more involved. Fournette could still find the endzone in this game, which may be a redeemer, but for the most part, I expect more of a fluid rotation in the Bucs’ backfield this Sunday.

Russell Gage
While it’s easy to get excited about Gage’s 12 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown last week against the Packers, I don’t expect him to replicate those numbers this week. Gage was the only option for Brady much of the game with receivers making mental errors and failing to separate. With the full cast of wideouts on the field, there will be more mouths to feed and his matchup against corner L’Jarius Sneed will be a tough one.
Sleepers
Chris Godwin
Godwin is expected to make his return to the lineup Sunday Night and I expect him to pick up right where he left off. Before leaving the Dallas game with an injury, Godwin was averaging a first down per reception. He’s Brady’s go-to option in the passing game and while there should be some concern about the Bucs easing him back into the offense, he’s shown he can be a factor even with a limited workload.

Cade Otton
Used primarily as a blocker in his first two games, Otton has just one career catch for four yards. With Donovan Smith expected to be back in the lineup, the rookie tight end could get more looks in the passing game. A bit of a wildcard and likely not an option in season-long formats, Otton is a value play in DFS with his low cost. In his first game since losing his mother, I see him finding the endzone this week for his first career touchdown.
