As much as the Bucs do for the Tampa Bay community when they take the field on Sundays, they do even more off the field. And the team’s defensive line, led by 10-year veteran Will Gholston, proved that yet again this week as they gave out turkeys to families in need ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to the Bucs’ official Twitter account, Gholston and his family are donating 920 turkeys to Tampa Bay families this week. He hosts this turkey distribution event annually, having made it his mission each year to help families in need throughout the Tampa Bay area, as well as in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Gholston was joined by his fellow defensive linemen, including rookie Logan Hall, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Vita Vea and Pat O’Connor, among others. The Bucs may be preparing for their Week 12 matchup in Cleveland against the Browns, but it’s always good to see the team out in the community around the holidays. This is a side to sports that truly never gets old.
