Join David Ortiz and Chris Godwin plus over 50 of their celebrity friends for a night of golf competition, music, food, and open bar the night before Super Bowl LV at Topgolf Tampa. Superstars from the world of football, baseball, basketball, music, and film come together in a safe and socially distanced venue to raise money for both the David Ortiz Children’s Fund and Team Godwin Foundation.

“This is going to be an extraordinary event, and I am glad to host it for everyone here in Tampa,” Ortiz said. “Not only will you have the chance to enjoy amazing golf, food, drink, and much more, but you will be impacting the lives of hundreds of children who need your support.”

Ortiz, nicknamed “Big Papi” returns to the Tampa area after numerous trips to Tropicana Field as a member of the Boston Red Sox. This go-round the 10x All-Star, 3x World Series Champion, 2013 World Series MVP, and 7x Silver Slugger Award winner, won’t be slugging home runs. Instead, he will be driving golf balls to raise money for the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, which provides critical cardiac services to those in his native Dominican Republic, as well as New England who can’t afford it.

In his fourth season as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wide receiver Chris Godwin has quickly become a leader on the offensive side of the ball and a fan favorite. Godwin recorded his first 1,000-yard season in 2019 and was second in receiving this year. His charity, the Team Godwin Foundation provides at-risk animals a second chance through advocacy and financial support.

“It means a lot to me to get involved with this awesome event right here in my backyard,” Godwin added. “When David asked me to help raise money for the DOCF as well as my Team Godwin Foundation it was a no-brainer.”

All health & safety protocols have been taken to ensure this event provides a safe environment for all guests including safely spaced hitting bays, the highest standard of cleanliness, associates health and safety precautions, as well as responsible social distancing.

Main sponsors for the Super Celebrity Shootout include Dugout Mugs, GameDay Vodka, Tervis, and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.

With space for only 600 guests, this year’s event will SELL OUT!

Good for Chris, he just better stay safe another week! And the night before the Super Bowl? Hopefully Chris makes an appearance for the kids and then goes home and gets a good night sleep! 😬
