As we move another day closer to the Bucs Thursday night game against the Eagles, we’re also getting further clarity on their injured starters. Bruce Arians spoke about the status of Rob Gronkowski and Antoine Winfield Jr. on Tuesday, and if they are any steps closer to playing.

Though we haven’t seen Gronkowski out on the practice field in the last week because of injuries to his ribs, he’s making pretty good progress behind the scenes. Wednesday will be the deciding factor on if he’ll be back.

“Probably after tomorrow, the final day,” Arians said. “(We’ll) see how he does. He’s made really good progress.”

Winfield Jr. is trying to recover from a concussion, but we have seen him on the field this week. There are still a couple of hurdles to get over before the Bucs decide if he can play.

“He’s still in the protocol,” Arians said. “He was limited today, we’ll see how it goes tomorrow. If he can’t clear before we get on the plane, we won’t take him. There’s no need for flying and doing all those things. If he can’t go, we’ll rule him out.”
