  1. Ummmmmm, how about working out somebody on defense…

  2. Why all the workouts for wide receivers and QB’s? Kinda thinking those two positions are strengths.

    • QB is not our strength, we have 3 backups caliber players as starters.

Having said that your point is still well taken.

  3. I agree with you two. We need another WR like a toothache. What’s next, a TE.
For gods sake take a look at maybe a RB or more importantly, someone on defense with special attention paid to safety or cornerback
    Good grief, a WR?

  4. We need the person that cover the reciever oh ya a cornerback

  5. WR, TE, QB the deepest positions on the roster, plus the guys that are close, Bobo Wilson, etc. Only reason I can see bringing these guys in is if we’re looking at making trades from the current roster.

  6. It can be easy to over think these routine and common workouts from a fan perspective. They are working out these type guys based on a “best available athlete” type principal, hoping to maybe upgrade the practice squad quality a bit. Nothing more. No one in the building anticipates a fix to the active roster from this player pool.

  7. WR Damoun Patterson was added to the PS to replace DE Demone Harris who was brought up to the 53 roster to replace DE Will Clarke who was released. The Bucs seem fixated on WRs – can’t explain.

    • It’s interesting that two years ago, the Bucs had perhaps the worst receivers in the NFL and now have what I think is the best group in the NFL.

I agree with the other comments on here. I would hope they look for corners, safeties and running backs to add to the practice squad and perhaps put pressure on players filling those spots on the active roster.

Even if the Bucs make it to the Super Bowl this year, it is obvious the Bucs are going to go very heavy on defense in next years draft.

      • Loved your comment on JBF about the Mike Smith defense surprising you by going from worst of all time to just below average. lol.

    • Mac, wasn’t that the same guy who face masked Conte and ran foe 70 YD TD?

      • No, that was Vance McDonald, one of Pittsburgh starting Tight Ends.

  8. I know a lot of people have been protesting for us to bring back TJ Ward, which I agree with, we need leadership back there. But as he showed last year, Mike Smith has no idea how to use TJ Ward, as he demonstrated last year.

  9. If they work out Coleman and he’s worth rostering eventually because of his talent, why is that a problem? He is available to work out so put in the due dilligence. New England did the same thing with Gordon and Coleman. They kept Gordon. They let go of Coleman. He’s young, athletic, and may be a good understudy to Evans. If Evans (or Jackson) blows out an ACL, then what? Desean Jackson (or Evans), Chris Godwin, and Adam Humphries may not be enough. At that point, at least the Bucs will have some initial contact with the Coleman.

  10. Why not bring in ex-Giants former first rounder in 2015, T Ereck Flowers, for a work out? He was a starter up until they signed Nate Solder in FA this year from the Patriots. We could use that kind of help right away.

  11. Dude, maybe on the right side but the Giants already tried that before waiving him.
I hope all the crybabies out there and Licht haters notice that Coleman was a former first round pick so the Bucs aren’t the only team that whiffs on high draft picks although I can’t remember us striking out on a No. 1 yet. In fact, I think Erick Flowers was a No. 2 pick of the Giants.
