Why all the workouts for wide receivers and QB’s? Kinda thinking those two positions are strengths.

QB is not our strength, we have 3 backups caliber players as starters.

Having said that your point is still well taken.

I agree with you two. We need another WR like a toothache. What’s next, a TE.
For gods sake take a look at maybe a RB or more importantly, someone on defense with special attention paid to safety or cornerback
Good grief, a WR?

We need the person that cover the reciever oh ya a cornerback

WR, TE, QB the deepest positions on the roster, plus the guys that are close, Bobo Wilson, etc. Only reason I can see bringing these guys in is if we’re looking at making trades from the current roster.

It can be easy to over think these routine and common workouts from a fan perspective. They are working out these type guys based on a “best available athlete” type principal, hoping to maybe upgrade the practice squad quality a bit. Nothing more. No one in the building anticipates a fix to the active roster from this player pool.

WR Damoun Patterson was added to the PS to replace DE Demone Harris who was brought up to the 53 roster to replace DE Will Clarke who was released. The Bucs seem fixated on WRs – can’t explain.

It’s interesting that two years ago, the Bucs had perhaps the worst receivers in the NFL and now have what I think is the best group in the NFL.

I agree with the other comments on here. I would hope they look for corners, safeties and running backs to add to the practice squad and perhaps put pressure on players filling those spots on the active roster.

Even if the Bucs make it to the Super Bowl this year, it is obvious the Bucs are going to go very heavy on defense in next years draft.
