My poor snakebitten Bucs. Like McCoys attitude though. No Excuses. Other teams have been sucessful with a backup. We can’t we? No reason why we cannot. But..this is the Bucs. Jameis gets another chance. But his chips are way down. Fans and the Glazers have now included him on that short leash Licht, Koetter and Smitty are on. The only solution to all of this is..WINNING. And of course a 360 in Jameis’s play and maturity. Its no secret these Bucs have gotta fibish at least 8-8 for this crew to stay. I can’t wait to see if these Bucs… Read more »

This is how a leader leads in a situation like this. Kwon’s blanket “we got your back” is sad and meaningless. If Jameis is ever going to redeem himself, some team mates are going to have to sit him down, make sure he understands the damage he has so foolishly inflicted on this team, and rip the C off his jersey until he earns it back. Clearly, that discussion will have to be led by GMC, David, Evans… maybe even JPP (he knows a thing about personal actions impacting a team)… Kwon needs to sit that chat out. For all… Read more »

I would agree Kwon isnt a locker room leader and his play on the field needs to step up also. He plays with a lot of passion thats good but passion doesn’t get the job done execution does

His play needs to step up? Are you serious? We have probably the best linebacking corps in the league and Alexander is the best one. He has Winston’s back and I am happy for it. We will survive this if cool heads prevail.

My thoughts exactly! In no realm does our LB room need to do any improvement on or off the field.

Kwon isn’t a leader? I guess I must’ve been watching a different #58 the past few years.

If you remember correctly, Kwon was the first one to address the tree whisperer

“His play needs to step up also”. LMAO. Seriously? He’s one of the best MLBs (arguably in the top 5) in the league, but in your “expert” opinion, Kwon’s play needs to step up!

Have you ever watched a single Bucs game since Kwon has been on the team? His play needs to step up? He’s literally one of the best Linebackers in the league. Last time I checked, his play on the field speaks for itself. Now you wanna blast the guy for having his QB’s back, fine. Even though, he has his back because the game immediately following Kwons brothers death, the first player to rush onto the field to hug Kwon was Jameis. When Kwon needed his teammates in the most difficult time of his life, Jameis was the first teammate… Read more »

I respect McCoy for showing Fitzpatrick some love. Maybe the mass hysteria concerning this nightmare will calm down.

I’ll agree with your statement. No matter what your thoughts on Winston, the team still has to go out there and win. Thank God Fitz has been in Koetter’s system for several seasons now.

I like what I’m hearing from the other players on this. There are 52 other players on the roster that have the ability to win games. All Fitz needs to do is be a game manager and let the rest of his weapons around him do their thing. The defense should be much improved and help out on their side.

And that back up Q.B. who won the S.B. might become available through trade, or F.A. next year. Would the Eagles be willing to take our 1st next year, which could be high, for Foles? T. Taylor should be available next year, Bridgewater this year, then there’s the draft. So Jameis put himself in this position, now he’s going to have to earn our trust on, and off the field. He better stay clean, and ball out this year, we do have options.

We just need to put up on the board in the locker room the lack of respect by the bookies to the Bucs and everyone embrace the underdog role and put a chip on their shoulders to demand NFL respect by beating the teams on our schedule who will have written us off as easy wins. With Fitz and all our improvements we just need to resolve to rock their worlds. The NFL could have easily investigated the Arizona incident and reported their findings then instead of holding it over us and leaking info to create a circus in the… Read more »

They probably already have done this, but yeah, lighting fires underneath people can take all shapes and forms. Whatever it takes to get these guys playing lights out.

ok, this is crazy, let Fitz ride the pine. Start Griffin and lets see why he is collecting a paycheck. I mean if Fitz is truly better then Griffin then we are in more trouble than we realize. If Griffin can WIN, then….even better. I live in reality though, the SAints in NO, then the Eagle and Steelers…REALLY PEOPLE, the Bucs are going to get crushed. Mark my words, all defenses will stack the box, shut down Koetes predictive runs and pick fitz off. Got it, our D would appear greatly improved, but that won’t make enough difference when playing… Read more »

Eric, you’re right, that’s what the preseason should be about, let the Ryans go at it, and may the best man win.
