The Bucs announced that undrafted rookie offensive tackle Calvin Ashley left the team and was subsequently waived on Thursday, July 29. Tampa Bay had signed the 6-7, 330-pound Ashley out of Florida A&M in May following the 2021 NFL Draft. Ashley played one year for the Rattlers in 2019 with seven starts after previously attending both Auburn and Florida Atlantic.

The Buccaneers opened training camp on Sunday, July 25 and the players have Thursday off.

Probably required too much above the neck for the kid.

At least the kid decided early it was not for him. People who never played the game at any level have no idea what a grind tryin to make the pros is. Especailly when undrafted. You gotta play and them some. Even at 6-7 and over 3oo plus as a lineman, he probably realized it was gonna take an all out effort he was either unwilling or unable to give. Good luck to the kid with his future endeavors.

Clickbait city. Make that ad money, PR! I didn’t want to click. Knew it couldn’t be anyone of consequence due to the Bucs helmet image, lol. Couldn’t help myself.

I think it was a kicker named Miro Roder who left practice to go pee and was never seen again. Turned out John McKay made him nervous. To which the witty coach replied, “I plan to attend most games”.
