  1. I congratulate all those who predicted this would happen. Still think Koetter was pressured to do this, but as many said, it cannot go much worse.

  2. As painful as it was watching Mike Smith’s defense, and his coaching Sunday after Sunday, just as painful it is to attempt to listen to each of you during your podcast. Let me be clear, Your podcasts could be great, if you decided to follow a proper format, and find a better way to plug in your mandatory sponsors. Your show lacks organization, lacks professionalism. The only reason why I continue to TRY to listen, is just like every Sunday, hoping Mike Smith prepped his players or coached better. Preparation, etc. I rather just listen to Scott Reynolds (aside from his self-adoration), who is always prepared and his knowledge of the Bucs and expertise is the only reason why I visit the page and listen to his dreadful podcast.

Honestly, if you hired a media consultant, and attempted to add more professionalism to your podcast, find a classier way to plug in these sponsors your show would grow exponentially.

It really is irritating. I couldn’t even get through the show today.

    Pathetic.

    • Mark Cook and Scott Reynolds: What makes you think Duffner will be better at getting the most out of the linebackers as the acting defensive coordinator? He has coached the linebackers and been in meetings with Mike Smith on the gameplan. Don’t you think Smitty listened to his gameplan input? Isn’t he just as culpable for the lack of sack or interception production from the linebackers? Also, hasn’t Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander been a liability in coverage? And tackling? And getting through traffic to get to ballcarriers?

    • If you only knew Scott’s dark past you would know that he never received praise in his home growing up as a child. Thus, he is forced to self-adorize. Sad.

      • Alas … sad, but true.

And I was right about the Bucs needing to fire Mike Smith.

  3. I agree with bentoons for the most part. It is irritating. You guys could at least extend each other the courtesy of letting the other guy finish a sentence before jumping in. You sounded like a bunch of teenage boys or maybe, just a little bit older guys after having consumed two or three beers.

You are the professionals. This fan comes to Pewter Report for the insights and information that I don’t expect to get from the irregular followers of the Buccaneers at the national level.

Here’s hope that the change at DC can make a real difference for salvaging our season. I continue to think that we have the talent and that the coaching has been insufficient to this point.

  4. Long time lurker, but needed to create an account and log in to comment in response to the critical posts above.

I love your format. I listen to several sports podcasts (including other bucs ones), and you guys are my favorite. It is casual, funny, informative, and all together entertaining.

Keep up the good work, and don’t change anything.

  5. There you have it. Different cultures, different realities, different politics, different viewpoints among fans of the same team. This is what diversity is all about. God bless America!
