      • Do you even realize how little sense that makes? Your talking about Vea, a player who was drafted as a NT who picks up double teams and stops the run. You mention linebackers, sateties, and defensive ends who are much more likely to pick up stats based off of their position not to mention Vea missed a ton of time and the first 1/4 of the season. I respect your post but this is a terrible comparison to go off of.

      • This may be the most ignorant positional comparison in an attempt to prove a biased agenda ever posted. Compare Vea to other NT’s who have had success in the league, not the positions designed to make most of the tackles, pass defenses and interceptions. It’s beyond apples and oranges. A lot of research Buc Ass, but you were looking at the wrong data.

  2. Veta has improved last couple games, he will be on roster and play for next few years, He is however not a big impact player that was needed to save this coach job this year.
Those other could have helped this D this year.
I know LB get more tackles, Veta came to Bucs out of shape and wasted first half season.

    • He was injured, not “out of shape”.

      • He was certainly out of shape and likely injured, that is a fact. They didn’t have him drop 40lbs for no reason.

        • Where did you see an article about him told to lose 40 pounds when he got to Training Camp? Unless you are on the medical staff who examined him, neither you nor I have any idea about his physical condition. Folk’s perceptions don’t make it reality.

  3. Did Trevor/Scott just insinuate that because Caleb Benenoch is playing RG and not RT like in college that is the reason that he can’t block anyone? Because when you can’t block people at RG you naturally move them out to RT. That’s how it works right?

Regarding MJ Stewart being drafted as a hybrid safety despite being a CB at UNC; you guys realize that Licht:

    A. Drafted safety Jordan Whitehead in the 4th round over other positions of need which is sort of odd if you just spent a 2nd round pick on a safety and have Justin Evans on the roster and

    B. Natural safety Justin Reid was available in round 2 rather than converting a slow corner to the safety position. So given the choice it makes total sense to draft the 4.55 corner in the 2nd round and pray he converts well to a position he didn’t play in college. That’s what premium picks are all about.

Also on one hand you both point to Dirk saying it’s not an issue with talent and say he’s being honest about that then you follow it up with Dirk says the line is great and that’s a lie. So we are to believe Dirk when he praises the talent on the team but say he’s lying when he praises the talent of the line. So Dirk is sticking up for his guys when it’s about the o-line but when it’s about the overall talent he’s just being honest. Gotcha.

  4. I’ve enjoyed the continuation of the 100th episode, but I say starting this off season you take it the other direction. Each new season is an episode. Episode 2 Part 1 starts in January. Then each new podcast is the next Part. Keep up the good Bucs talk!
