The Pewter Nation Podcast is here and Free Agency is just a few days away. But with everything getting canceled because of the Coronvirus, will Free agency start on time? The guys explain that because of modern technology and most deals getting done through phone, emails, and face times, that free agency should continue as planned.

When it comes to free agency itself for the Bucs, the biggest goal is to re-sign the players that were already on the roster, and that shows the sign of a good team. As far as what other free agents they could be looking at and who will get the franchise tag, you’ll have to listen to hear that. Some old free agency stories get brought up as well, so tune in and find them in this new Pewter Nation Podcast.

  4. I am all for re-signing the Bucs defensive core. But even if they go blue light shopping in free agency they still need to find upgrades for depth.

Depth at certain spots last season did hurt the Bucs chances in several games. And the draft is not the only way to foster competition.

To me a veteran CB, safety, OL, RB and WR are all must haves.

But I do agree this draft may be heavy on the offensive side of the ball with RB, OL, QB and WR all addressed.

  6. Re-signing their own players? JPP, Barrett and Suh? I wouldn’t consider those guys as “their own”, those are former free agent signings from last year, “their own” to me would be players they drafted and developed.

  7. You had Disturbed as the lead in- they also covered “Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel …
(and I coached indoor soccer with their former bass player up here on the SouthSide). Stay healthy all- hoping you can make it up to Chicago this season ! We are shutting things down right now, though. Bars & restaurants close for 2 weeks starting tonight. BTW, Scott, Corona sucks😅
