Can you believe it? Tom Brady is going to sign with the Tampa Bay Bucs. The six-time Super Bowl champion has a new team with a bunch of weapons around him. The guys discuss how big of an impact this is going to have on the entire roster.

For starters, Brady makes the Bucs relevant, and changes the demeanor in the locker room. He’s going to expect the best out of his teammates around him, making the Bucs act little more serious than it may have in the past. They’re all in with a proven winner.

And what about Jameis Winston? Where does he eventually end up? The group explains what inevitably did Winston in and if he’ll become a starter again.

There’s been rumors that Brady wanted Antonio Brown to go with him wherever he was playing next season, so is he coming to Tampa Bay as well. The Bucs already have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin so Brown isn’t as needed here compared to other teams. Will Brady fit in Bruce Arians’ offense? What running back should he work with? We break down all the Brady news in this new Pewter Nation Podcast.

Brady does not diminish the needs for the team at other positions. The draft may hold promise.

I’m a huge Winston fan, huge FSU fan, however, I’ve been a Buc fan since I was a kid. I get it, Brady is 43, he’s not the player that he was even 2-3 years ago, however, this is the most excited I’ve been as a Bucs fan in probably a decade or more. As toucan said above, there are obviously other holes that need to be filled, such as OT and the glaring hole at RB. Signing Brady was huge though, he may not have the arm that he once had, but with Evans and Godwin, he doesn’t need… Read more »

Well, i know that Tom Brady is excited to be a Buc; he’s connected to Mike Evans and probably just about everyone else already! . . . i don’t think I need to tell you Tom Brady is not “finished.”

APriatesLifeForMe said it best…we need an O line that can keep Brady upright (47 sacks last season) and a back that can carry the ball consistently. If that’s RoJo, he doesn’t need 15-20 yrd scrambles every time he touches the ball (although that would great, too), but to carry for 5-6 yards and be able to convert 3rd and short is key! Brady can’t do this by his lonesome and he shouldn’t have to. On the defensive side of the ball, the penalties have got to stop…or at least trimmed a bit. I have seen flashes of brilliancy from the… Read more »

Winston gave his best to the Bucs and was a Buc till the end. Just because he was not the franchise quarterback everyone wanted doesn’t mean he didn’t try to live up to that expectation. Not many could live up to being a franchise quarterback, and how many again have the Bucs had since their inception? Biggest difference Brady will make is on reading the defense and getting the ball out of his hands immediately. As far as his arm strength….when was the last time he had a legit deep threat to even try to throw to. What the Bucs… Read more »

No announcement yet because they’re still working on the language of his contract. They’re expecting it to be finalized by Thursday night.

They will probably have a press conference Friday. At least that’s my guess.

Yeah they say they are still working out some language before they finalize and that there are no hiccups or anything. COVID issues are holding up official signings too apparently because it’s making it hard for teams to do physicals on the players.

Podcast team says “Bucs are a snake bitten team.” Scott followed it up by saying they’re snake bitten “with their own players”.

The fact that you guys think paying a 43 year old QB with diminishing skills doesn’t have that same capacity is silly.

Bruce Arians, the QB Whisperer, 2 time coach of the year was 7-9 and had plenty of head scratching game losing calls last year.

Color me skeptical. Browns won the off season last year with OBJ, Hunt, etc.

Bruce is the only one to blame because he is the Boss. Now Fact is fans werent coming to games and people wont pay for mediocrity here in Tampa. Brady is older and maybe his skills are not what they were but what he brings to the game mentally will change the mindset of the Team, fans and media. Molding the future with players will be a huge job for Bruce but dam how about a wining season at least.

Poor secondary draft picks, inj prone in college, poor development by previous staff. overpaid center, lack of o line talent. They have not invested much talent in offense trenches for 3 years or more. The foundation on offense is not solid. If this turns ugly like we know better than most fans it can. Because .387 is the worst in NFL history. This franchise has been awful, talent evaluators for almost 50 years. The few times they have gotten it right has been more dumb luck than a solid process of evaluating FA & kids from college. To be honest I… Read more »

Have to admit, I miss the days of having McKay in the front office. At least during that magical stretch from 94-2000. Sure beat the hell out of Krueger/Perkins throwing darts at the draft board!
